Congratulations to Direct Path Corporation (DPC) for winning Novawall’s Project of the Month for March 2022.
The winning submission is Appian Corporation, located in Tysons, Virginia.
If the project name sounds familiar, it’s because DPC did the original installation and won Project of the Month in August of 2019. The initial install consisted of Novawall fabric wall panels and Novawall Track baffles.
Founded in 1999 by Matthew Calkins, Michael Beckley, Marc Wilson, Bob Kramer, Appian Corporation is a cloud computing company headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, and is part of the Dulles Technology Corridor.
Located on the 4th-floor of Appian’s sister building, for this expansion, Callison RTKL created a design that resembles an abstract tree with branches. HITT Contracting contacted Direct Path and challenged them to deliver the concept. DPC accepted the challenge, and the rest is magic!
DPC leveraged three distinct product lines. First, one-inch Novaform PET baffles (color Smoke) were used to create the tree branches. Second, Novawall fabric panels using Maharam Meld, and for the third product, DPC built Novawall Track baffles using Maharam Flock. When completed, Direct Path had installed over 560 linear ft. of Novawall wall panels, 558 sq. ft. of Novawall baffles, and 500 sq. ft. of Novaform PET baffles in various collaboration rooms, huddle rooms, conference rooms, and the Clubhouse.
Key members for this project include Jeffery Jimenez, lead installer, Victor Alva, project manager, Callison RTKL, architectural firm, and Hitt Contracting, the GC.
Completed in 4-weeks, the Appian project was the first of its kind by a Novawall distributor to incorporate three distinct product lines, Novawall Track baffles, Novawall fabric wall panels and Novaform PET baffles.
