Congratulations to Marek Brothers Systems, Inc. for winning Novawall’s Project of the Month for December 2019. The winning submission is Dickies Arena.

With its grand opening in November 2019, Dickies Arena is a brand-new state of the art 14,000 seat entertainment facility located in Fort Worth, Texas. Dickies Arena was built to host many types of events such as; trade shows, rodeos, concerts, and other sporting events. The Dickies Arena is, however, owned by the city of Fort Worth and managed by a nonprofit group.

Marek Brothers installed over 37,000 square feet of Novawall with Hi-Impact Fiberglass throughout the event spaces and concourse levels.  Fabrics selected for the project included; one Designtex, five Momentum fabrics, and two custom color Novaspan fabrics.

“Initially awarded the contract for pre-fabricated panels, we successfully swapped the spec to Novawall throughout the project and solidified the contract for 1.3 million.  This project was extremely challenging and required extensive coordination, specifically at the brass trap level, where we saved the customer hundreds of thousands of dollars, by strategizing a method of installation which didn’t require system scaffolding,” said Alan Alfano, project manager.

Key members for this project include; project manager, Alan Alfano, for Marek Brothers Systems Inc., designer David M. Schwarz & HKS, and general contractor The Beck Group.

Completed in 8 months, Dickies Arena is one of the most highly visible Novawall projects done by Marek.  The Novawall scope is prevalent throughout the arena, which can be seen by all spectators.
