Congratulations to Jacaranda Industries for winning Novawall’s Project of the Month for May 2020. Based in Australia, Jacaranda was formed in 2004 by its three directors; Andrew Southwood, John Giles, and Andrew Tinetti. Jacaranda has been a Novawall dealer since December of 2018.
Jacaranda’s winning submission is One Melbourne Quarter in Melbourne, Australia. One Melbourne Quarter is the first commercial tower to be completed within this precinct, and it is home to commercial, residential, retail, and restaurants located in the heart of Melbourne’s central business district.
“This project incorporated both the one-inch and two-inch Novawall track systems and provided a challenge due to the circular room installations,” said Simon Littlejohn, project manager. “Our site installers had to cut the Weltless Edge, Concealed Edge, Midwall Track in multiple places for the system to conform to the curved walls.” “The system also had to work around television screens and wall-mounted remotes in multiple rooms.” The completed project consisted of over 1200 square feet of Novawall on walls in the auditorium, a meeting room pod, a tech bar display, and a circular video conference room.
Key members for this project include; project manager, Simon Littlejohn, for Jacaranda, architectural firm, HASSELL, and general contractor Buildcorp Group.
Completed in 5 months, One Melbourne Quarter is one of Jacaranda’s most impressive installs receiving a letter of appreciation from the builder Buildcorp who thanked them for their efforts, quality of the installation, and high level of service throughout the project.
